Cancellation Terms

Last updated: March 1, 2026

These Cancellation Terms (“Cancellation Terms”) explain how to cancel orders or subscriptions with [Your Brand Name]. They operate alongside our Terms of Service and Return/Refund Policy.

1) Cancelling an Order Before Fulfillment

  • You may request cancellation before the order enters fulfillment (picking/packing) or before a shipping label is created.

  • Submit cancellation requests immediately via [support email] or Account → Orders.

  • If fulfillment has not begun, we will cancel and issue a refund to the original payment method.

2) Orders Already in Fulfillment or Shipped

  • Once an order is in fulfillment or has shipped, it cannot be canceled.

  • You may return eligible items under our 15‑day return policy.

Refused Deliveries

If a customer refuses delivery for reasons not caused by our error:

  • Return‑shipping costs will be deducted from the refund.

  • A restocking fee of [X% or amount] will also be deducted.

  • If the refusal is due to our error (wrong or defective product), no fees will be deducted.

3) Subscription / Auto‑Ship Orders (If Applicable)

  • Subscriptions renew automatically.

  • To avoid the next charge and shipment, cancellations must be made [X days] before the renewal date.

  • Orders already processed for that cycle cannot be canceled.

4) Preorders & Backorders

  • Can be canceled anytime before shipping confirmation.

  • If estimated shipping dates change materially, you may cancel for a full refund.

5) Promotional Bundles, Kits & Free Gifts

  • Bundles/kits can only be canceled as a whole.

  • If a cancellation affects discounts or free gifts, refund amounts may be adjusted.

6) Out‑of‑Stock, Errors, or Operational Delays

We may cancel all or part of an order due to:

  • Inventory errors

  • Pricing errors

  • Fraud concerns

  • Goods unavailable due to supplier or operational issues

You will receive a full refund for any canceled item(s).

7) Fraud Screening / Policy Violations

We may cancel orders that fail payment authorization or appear fraudulent or non‑compliant with our policies.

8) Refund Method

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

  • Banks/payment processors may require additional days for posting.

🇨🇦 9) Québec‑Specific Cancellation Rights (Enabled)

These rights apply only to residents of Québec, under the Consumer Protection Act (CQLR c. P‑40.1).

9A — Mandatory Pre‑Checkout Disclosures (Distance Contracts)

We must provide, before checkout, all information required for a distance contract between a Québec merchant and consumer — including business identity, full pricing, product description, and cancellation terms.
[lavery.ca]

9B — Written Copy of the Contract

We must provide a written copy of the contract (your order confirmation containing all mandatory disclosures) within 15 days after purchase.
[lavery.ca]

9C — 30‑Day Delivery Rule (Special Québec Right)

If goods are not delivered within 30 days of the date stated in the contract — or within 30 days of purchase when no date is specified — Québec consumers may cancel the contract and receive a full refund. [lavery.ca]

9D — Legal Warranty (Cannot Be Waived)

Québec consumers automatically receive the non‑waivable legal warranty protecting them against hidden defects and ensuring products are fit for normal use and durable for a reasonable period. This applies even after your 15‑day return window. [business-i...canada.com]

9E — Published Store Policies Must Be Honored

If a merchant publishes a return or refund policy (e.g., your 15‑day window and your refusal‑delivery restocking rules), Québec law requires that the merchant honor it exactly as published. [quebec.ca]

9F — French‑Language Requirement

Contracts and consumer‑facing information must be available in French, unless the consumer chooses another language.
